Sachi Arakawa

Portland Based Geographer, Cartographer and GIS Analyst

I am a graduate student at Portland State University, pursuing a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree.  My background is in Geography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).  I have worked on GIS projects for the Center for Spatial Analysis and Research, the Institute for Sustainable Solutions, and the City of Portland, and I am currently a Research Assistant at the Institute of Metropolitan Studies.

Besides my curiosity for all things spatial, I like exploring the Cascade Range, playing video games and pinball, and hanging out with friendly animals– including the occasional human.
