Sachi Arakawa

Geographer, Cartographer, GIS Analyst

Sachi is a graduate student at Portland State University, pursuing a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree.  Her background is in Geography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).  She has worked on GIS projects for the Center for Spatial Analysis and Research, the Institute for Sustainable Solutions, and the City of Portland, and currently holds a Graduate Research Assistantship at Community GIS, a subsidiary of PSU’s Institute of Metropolitan Studies.

Besides her curiosity for all things spatial, Sachi enjoys nerding out over tree identification, exploring the Cascade Range, playing video games, and hanging out with friendly animals– including the occasional human.
